Obtain a Florida marriage license right here in Sarasota!

Marriage licenses are obtained at the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Marriage License Division in Sarasota, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. The license is valid for 60 days. There is no waiting period for non-residents of Florida nor blood tests. Florida residents have a choice of a three day waiting period or attending a four hour class.

Obtaining a Florida marriage license has never been this easy, just read the following and you will be on your way.

The Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court does not accept credit cards or personal checks. Identification with a photograph (i.e. driver's license or passport) and your Social Security card is required, as well as the date any previous marriages ended. Both the bride and groom need to go to the Court House. Bring the license to the ceremony so the witnesses (not required) and the officiant can sign it. The license will be mailed back to the Court House so the marriage can be registered with the State of Florida .
